Johnny Bolton, Special Agent! is a removed quest from We Happy Few. It took place in the Garden District after the player talked to Johnny Bolton in the treehouse.

Buff StalwartBasic Objectives[]

Buff EarsToTheGround In-Game Description[]

Well, that's one way to stay sane out here: go stark, raving bonkers. I wonder what happens if I go to the place marked on my map and get him his doll?

This is without a doubt the ugliest doll I've ever seen.

I do feel a bit bad for stealing these people's star puppet.

I hope Johnny Bolton, Special Agent isn't really going to waste this first aid kit on his doll. I wonder how deep the madness goes? It's probably turtles all the way down.

Now things are getting interesting. What exactly is "ephemeral linen"? How is it ephemeral? And what's this Mystery House I'm supposed to find it in?

Very odd stuff, this ephemeral linen. It looks like any old cloth, but it's hard to focus my eyes on it.
I wonder what he's going to do with this? Seems a shame to waste it on a doll.

A Suit of Blending? I wonder if it would actually make someone harder to see.

Why am doing this lunatic all of these favours? I suppose because it's more fun than scrounging for food. And I'd never have known about that Mystery House otherwise.

You know, I bet I could make one of these blending suits for myself.
That could come in awfully handy.

That was all terribly odd. Johnny's stark raving mad. But he seems to be enjoying himself more than anyone else I've met out here. I'll have to remember that. If nothing else works out, I shall simply become a raving lunatic.

Buff TrackStar Walkthrough[]

The player had to go to the Avon Puppet Theatre and steal Peachy from there, and bring the doll back to Johnny. Then they had to craft a First Aid Kit, and give that to Johnny too.

Johnny would then inform the player to get Ephemeral Linen from the Gardner House, however, instead of getting in using histoplasma mushrooms, the player had to be on Joy.

The Gardner House spawned on Lud's Holm, so the player had to find a way to cross the bridge to get there.

After the player had gotten the linen, they would've had to return to Eel Pie Holm and give the linen to Johnny. The player would then be given the blueprint for crafting the Suit of Blending, which they would also have to craft and give Johnny.

Once all of this was completed, the player would get a Suit of Blending in their inventory.

Buff Frenzy Changes[]

A major issue with this quest was that even if the player had taken Peachy, the objective would not complete, nor could they give the doll back to Johnny.

Reloading the save with the doll out of the player's inventory fixed the issue, but it was eventually fixed later on so that the player wouldn't have to do so.

Currently, the entire quest line got separated into Treehouse, Get the Dolly, and Mystery House.
