The Apple Tree is a closed off location in We Happy Few, only found during Act I and Act III in Lud's Holm.

In Survival/Sandbox Mode, the Apple Tree is a possible special location with a Boat Capacitor inside, which the player needs to collect.

Buff TechFriendly Layout[]

The Apple Tree is, as the name suggests, an apple tree on a small hill that's been closed off from the general public, guarded by two bobbies. The surrounding area has a lot of tall yellow flowers the player can hide in. Inside the fence is the tree, as well as some crates.

Buff TypicallyBritish History[]

Aside from the many berries and flowers, the apple tree is the last remaining fruit tree in the Garden District, making it highly sought after by the locals. For this reason, the Executive Committee decided the tree should be supervised by proper authorities, making it a death sentence if someone even considered taking the apples for themselves.

Buff PureBliss Events of We Happy Few[]

In Act I, The Apple Tree is part of the quest, Forbidden Fruit. Arthur can stumble across the area in Lud's Holm.

In Act III, The Apple Tree is part of the random quest, A Pomaceous Puzzle. Ollie has to solve the mystery of who killed the bobbies and the tree.

In Survival/Sandbox Mode, instead of Bobbies guarding the tree, it's instead guarded by two Headboys.

Buff Conformist Trivia[]

  • In Alpha, the apple tree was part of a bigger quest in which the player needed to steal a key card from one of the crates near the entrance. This is no longer the case.
  • Ironically, the sign says the apples are for Hamlyn citizens only, no apples seem to be delivered to Hamlyn Village at all, considering the severe food shortage there as well.
